I am not aware of who came first, Alice Hoffman or Jodie Pichoult, but it is the same type of storyline as many of Jodie's books, which is why I stopped reading her. Nothing here was in depth enou I'm glad I read The Dovekeepers before I read At Risk, because had this been my introduction to Alice Hoffman, I probably would have stopped here/5.
